Tilda is Out in the US
Tilda is very visible and other adventures
I recently moved house, which was a mammoth job, but I’m now in a house surrounded by trees, working on my new novel, meditating, and enjoying the glorious adventure of Tilda is Visible being published in the US.
My little novel is out in the USA. That’s a dream come true. It’s every manifestation hashtag ever.
Not only that, but it has been featured on Today online, in the 50 Books we Can’t Wait to Read in 2025 list.
Scary Mommy added it to their 11 Of The Most Anticipated Books Of 2025 list.
It was in People Magazine, both print and online. OMG!
And Oprah Daily added it to the Best Books to Read this Spring. Ahhhhhhh!

Booklist gave it a Starred Review. “This multi-layered book offers readers both genuine, frequent laughs and ideas for serious contemplation; it paves the way for new friendship goals and provides sparks to reignite the pursuit of lifetime passions. Suggested for solo introspection, a spirited and empowering book discussion experience, or anyone looking for a unique read sure to prompt a deep dive into the power of the mind.” Hello!!!
And, in a total out of body moment, I saw Ann Patchett hold it up on Instagram.
I’m adding all of this here as a record to retunr to when I need a lift. What a ride! I’d like to say it’s all because of my manifesting and vision boarding, but it’s actually down to some excellent marketing and publicity people at Crown Publishing.
It’s a surreal experience, and unlike when Tilda was released here in Australia, I’m watching from afar, fingers and toes crossed. It really is in the Lap of the Gods.

Upcoming events
On Monday March 10, I’m talking to my lovely author friend Anna Johnston about her novel The Borrowed life of Frederick Fife at the Seniors Festival: Speaker Series at Marrickville Library. Anna will share her passionate advocacy for positive aging and innovative dementia care, as well as stories about her bestselling book. I really got to know Anna when our novels were both on Zibby Owens Most Anticipated Fan/Winter list in the US and we both went to New York for the list launch. We had a wonderful time at Zibby’s party, met some lovely local authors, and found ourselves drinking cocktails at the Carlyle.
I’m heading to Mackay!
I’m this year’s Keynote Storyteller at the JSP Women’s Awards on March 29 in Mackay.
I’ll be speaking about women and visibility and the power of being seen for who we truly are. I’m really looking forward to meeting the amazing team behind the Just Saying Project.
Newcastle Writers Festival

I’ll be at the Newcastle Writers Festival on Saturday April 5, first on a panel, and then hosting an evening event. I’ll also be sitting in on many of the incredible events scheduled over the weekend.
And then from 6.30pm I’m hosting Your Time Starts Now: An Evening with Julie Goodwin. I hope to see you all there.
Book Queens
For those of you who love a good online book club, I co-host Book Queens with Belinda Alexandra. We have a warm and engaged community on Facebook and do a monthly live book club. Sign up to our newsletter here and join in the fun.
